Hey yo, first and foremost I want to apologize for the last post, I was so demotivated and losing my mind a while there but after a deep thought, that was so wrong, very very wrong. So for that my blog will stay and I will not quit blogging, at least not for now. So this will not be a long post, just to announce that, this blog will stay alive accept that it won't be here anymore. It will be moved to a new "house" and still in its long process to be completed. Well, I hope this will be a right decision I've made. So, I'm backkkkkkkk :) :) :)

This might be my last post

Sound sad isn't it. It is sad indeed as this might be my last post in this blog. I won't be posting anymore things here and I'm quitting this blog. It's a hard things to do but it must be done. Not that I don't have any other choices, I do, but I choose to leave this for good. It's been a while that I plan and intended to end this but a lot of things still holding me on. Even if I start a new one, it won't be the same, it will surely be very very different. This is hard for me but someway somehow leaving is the best option to divert or transfer my direction to another things that will make things better. I don't want to do this but I have to, I'm not forced to do it, it's out of my own will and I feel this is the best for me. This is in line with the saying that goes "nothing live forever, nothing exist forever in this world, all that gone will be replaced but it will be different", in other words everything has their own ending.

If any of you still asked me why, my other answer would be, I have to follow my heart, I have to feed my preferences which has been telling me for quiet a while to quit it here. It is now or never and we will surely meet again at a better place one day. Until that day come, please do remember everything that any of you had experience here. I know, not a lot of good thing to be seen here but I've tried my very best. Blogging has always been the things that I love, things that I've pour some part of my heart to but yet I still couldn't find enough satisfactions. I need something better, some big changes and maybe something different but I've tried so hard to find it here but still I couldn't find enough.

Enough saying, what has to be done, will be done, regardless whatever it takes. Thanks everyone for everything and thanks for being the readers of my blog here. By the time I'm typing this sentences, I was thinking that this will have stay for while more. This blog will be still accessible at www.nocturneofmine.blogspot.com as I won't use the nocturneofmine.com domain name here anymore. So do still visit it before I'll delete it completely. I will not cry, I will have to smile instead because I've make the right choice for myself. As much as I wanted to type longer, I will still have to go. So, adios my blog spot and my readers, I'll see you all at the "other" side one day.... Chiowwwsss...

p/s: Don't hate me for this, I will be back one day, I can't promise as it all depends on what I should do, what I will acquire and how long to complete it.

New Hotel to be tuned in Sarawak??

Hotel to be tuned?? Seriously?? Well what other hotel you can use to tune your stay if not..... Tune Hotels! Ok lets go straight to the point. Most people will surely looking for a comfortable hotel with cheap or reasonable price to stay in when traveling to certain places. Sometimes it's so hard to find a very comfy hotel with the price below RM100 per night nowadays, unless you want to sacrifice the privacy and 50% of the comfortableness then money won't be much problem.

I believe many of us aware about the Tune Hotels and now they set to expand their hotels to another location in Sarawak. Yes, it's in Sarawak!! For the time being the only Tune Hotel in the state can only be found in Kuching and now another city will be a place for you who want to tune your stay :p

Alright cut the crap, just tell us where is it? To my surprise I've never thought they will open their hotel at this city. As I've tweet to them in twitter a few months back on suggesting to them to open one Tune hotel in Miri and they said "We'll see next year" and I'm pretty confident they will open it there but..... they will be opening a new branch at Bintulu!! Yes it will be in Bintulu. There will be Tune Hotel Bintulu soon. The new Tune hotel will be placed at No.203 Lot 7932 Assyakirin Commercial Square 97000 Bintulu. So next time you have your visit to Bintulu make sure to check out this hotel as the price will be much worth your stay especially if you're on a long holiday in Bintulu.

To top it all, currently Tune hotel have a promotional price of all it's hotels stay.

Oh, did I mention anything about when the Bintulu's Tune Hotel will be opened? I didn't because they didn't say it but look at the picture above, the stay period for Bintulu starting from early January next year. So that gives a clue when it will be opened :p

Radio Kenyalang Astro Ch 870

Kuching, Sunday (31 October 2010), a new radio channel specifically for Sarawak on Astro have been launched. With this Malaysians can now enjoy local and traditional musics from Sarawak. This is the first radio channel that will aired Sarawak's ethnic and cultural musics as well as other music.

The launching of this Radio Kenyalang will focus on promoting uniqueness of Sarawak's culture and surely will also deliver information and knowledge of tourism and lifestyle of Sarawak people. It is for the benefit of making Malaysian to get closer to each others' cultures and enrich their knowledge in every aspect of every race and ethic from Sarawak.

In line with Radio Kenyalang, another radio channel specifically focusing on Sabah has also been launched earlier.

It was launched by the Information, Communications, Arts and Culture Minister, Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim who said that radio channel will provide a better platform for local talents to showcase their abilities and enhance the entertainment industry with their cultural backgrounds. He also said that such channel will help to build the national-integration which will play a big role in bridging the gaps between Sarawak, Sabah and the peninsular.

The announcers and presenters of this Radio Kenyalang are those locals from Sarawak and they will be presenting in Bahasa Melayu Sarawak as well as Bahasa Malaysia. With Radio Kenyalang launched, Astro now has 19 radio channels.

Apart from that other radio channels, Era, MY FM and hitz.fm have been aired live from Kuching since from 25 October. Three hours has been allocated (10am to 1pm) from Monday to Friday for those channels to be aired live and will features announcers from Kuching.

Currently nine announcers from Sarawak have been selected to run the programmes in all those radio channels. They are four announcers for Radio Kenyalang, two for hit.fm, one for Era and two for MY FM.

It's a little while ago when HTC introduce their Aria and Wildfire and now they're back with more player in their line ups. With the recent introduction of WP7 or Windows Phone 7, HTC said to be among the first to offer the WP7 powered devices. Now they offered 5 new devices with 3 WP7 powered phones and 2 new Desire variations. Here are their latest line up:

WP7 - Latest army arrived on the Battlefield!

Finally Microsoft enter the mobile gadgets OS battlefield showcasing their latest mobile devices operating system. It's called WP7 or Windows Phone 7. Now that's more like it, at least it's not called Windows Mobile 7. Want to know why they've changed the name? From some sources, there was some mismanagement in the Windows Mobile team which has caused them to be reorganized. That had made Microsoft to start from scratch in developing a new mobile platform and now it's called the Windows Phone. That's a little bit of story on why the name is not windows mobile anymore and can explain why Microsoft was late in introducing it's new mobile platform.

Whatever it is, it's official that this WP7 powered devices are already in the market. Latest news from engadget revealed the latest HTC phone on Windows Phone 7, the HTC HD7. The HD7 are pretty much like the HTC HD2 with new appearance on the outside. Like HD2, the most appealing things about this phone is the big size of the screen (4.3 inch to be exact). If you asked me is that important or not, my answer is, definitely!! It will be eye-soothing seeing something so big and clear. So if screen size does matter to you this phone is worth to get your hands on. But unluckily it will take sometimes to arrive in Malaysia. A little bit of this phone's specification:

As for us in Malaysia, we will have to wait as like other new mobile devices, it will take sometimes to arrive here. But Maxis brought a good news yesterday as they will be the first to offer this phone and with that we can expect a contract package like other phones they offered before. Now like what always be the concern, the price it will carry. The predecessor, HD2 priced more than RM2k when it was first brought to the market, even now the price might be around RM1900 (correct me if I'm wrong). So, will the latest HD7 carry a price more than the HD2? Logically it might will as it can be consider as an upgrade for HD2. Now, the question is will any of you would be interested in the new Windows powered phone? Especially when while you're reading this you're holding your Android or BlackBerry Phone or an iPhone4 ;p

Malaysia Airlines MAS

This post should be out a couple of weeks ago but it stays in draft until now :p Anyway the title is very straight forward no? but what about MAS (Malaysia Airlines) that I want to write up here? Another complain and whining about their services? Nahhh.. lets give them some credit alright :p

It's been quiet a while that I didn't fly with MAS, I could only recalled that the last time when I'm in MAS's flight was in 2006 or 2007. That time a lot of changes have been made but after that I've never bothered by what improvement they've made until my last trip from Kuching to Johor few weeks ago. After more than 3 years I didn't fly with them I noticed a couple of improvements. Not that big but it does makes a different.

During that trip, the first thing I encounter was their check in system. While I was walking towards the check in counter, a polite lady approach me and said "Encik sila guna kiosk untuk Check in lebih cepat" I said errr.. where's the kiosk? The lady show me the kiosk and I told her that I have big bag that I need to put into the cargo (as I thought that kiosk is only for those who only bring hand carry item and no cargo luggage).

She smile and said "Boleh juga check in guna kiosk ni lepas tu kita ada "bag drop" counter untuk beg yang masuk kargo, Encik tak payah berbaris panjang di kaunter". I told myself, this is cool. She showed me how use the kiosk and less than five minutes, I got my boarding pass! Cool right? (I don't know if I'm the last to know about this kiosk but as I said I've not been flying in MAS for quiet sometimes and forgive me for my "sakai-ness" :p ) Then I walked to the counter just to drop my bag for cargo and then I turned my sight to my right.... What did I saw??? in the next paragraph....

I saw a long queue of people wanting for check in, then I turned my sight to my left to the kiosk, only a few people using it. So I wonder, are those people queuing were not aware of that kiosk or they think it's difficult to use it? Never mind them, for me that's a small improvement which have been advantage for fast check in but still need some additional improvement when people started to fully use it one day in which they need a lot more of that kiosk. Now that's quiet a long story of MAS kiosk hehehe.

Next thing I like about the flight is this:

Meals at 30k feet above sea level :p

Yummeh!! All I can say is, this is great!!! I'm rushing to the airport that morning and doesn't have times to eat breakfast and it's noon already, with this meal I'm grateful I don't have to be starving for 1 hours and 20 minutes flight. Plus it's FREE!! :p The last time I'm in MAS flight they only serve orange juice and a piece of cake or salted peanut and now they even give you Kit Kat!! (I don't know how long have they provide meals for domestic flight, again this is new to me so again forgive my "sakai-ness") Glad I don't have to spend RM20++ for a meal like this in a flight ;p The in-flight meals offered in two types, the fried rice with sweet and sour chicken (like the one I had above) and Tom Yam chicken with rice I think, can't really recalled it, bad memory hehehe.

One other thing that I notice is that their price is getting more competitive nowadays considering the conveniences they provide. But still it's your own choice and preference. We have to be smart no?

So peeps if it's conveniences that you seek the most, MAS (Malaysia Airlines) might be the one to consider but if you want to sacrifice that and the lowest fare is your most concern... pat your chest and asked your preference (direct translation: Tepuk dada tanya selera :p ).

Sarawak Bird Race 2010

Hey ya'll, been silence for a while, been very busy with work so that can explain why there's a lack of update on the blog. It's end of the year so a lot of last minute thing to be completed. Anyway, its October 2010, less than 3 months it will be a brand new year coming. So what's the new resolution of 2011? Not thinking about it yet? Well, I haven't have any idea myself :p.

So, to kick off October, lets start with a nature based post :p This will be about Sarawak Bird Race 2010 which will be held at the beautiful scenic Borneo Highland Resort. This is the 3rd year this event was organized. I've joined the first in 2008 but unable to be there for 2009 and sadly also have to skip this year's due to work commitment :(

Anyway, that won't stop me from delivering the information although it's quiet late. So, this event is particularly a bird race. Don't get me wrong, you don't have to bring your pet bird and put them into race in which those crossing the finish line first will win :p Specifically, this bird race is where the participants (in a group of two person) will try to spot and identify the wild birds they see in the events location. Meaning that like bird watching but with a sense of competition. It can be define as "A bird race is a “fun race” where teams of two compete against each other in searching, identifying, and recording as many species of birds within a stipulated time". So, those bird watchers and those who like wildlife (particularly birds here) should join this events. Normally bird watchers will do it for the sake of fun and hobby but here you put all those bird watching and bird identification hidden skills of yours to practice and in the running to win attractive price!

This event is jointly organized by Borneo Highland Resort and Malaysian Nature Society. The detail of the event are as follow:

The race is divided into two categories and the participation fees are as follows:

Long Race
(Buntal – Kubah National Park – Semenggoh Wildlife Centre – Borneo Highlands Resort)
RM100 nett per team of two

and

Short Race
Around Borneo Highlands Resort
RM60 nett per team of two

Additional information and fees
• Kubah National Park entrance fee – RM10 per pax **
• Semenggoh Wildlife Centre entrance fee – RM3 per pax entrance fee**

Android 2.2 Samsung Galaxy Tab

With the recent "battle" of Android and iPhone, many have agree that Android has beat iPhone in many ways. My choice always be Android, personally but if I could afford it, I love to have all three, Android phone, iPhone and Blackberry but yeah there will always have to be a number one choice :p

Anyway, Apple has introduce its iPad a while ago and again Android has set to top that with the their latest alike-gadgets running on Android. If you asked me between iPad and Android "pad" I choose Android "pad". Why? As I mention before my choice will always be Android. Not that I'm a hardcore fan but it's my personal preferences. I'm an avid fan of something that can make gadgets interesting and enjoyable. If iPads can top Android "pad" I will choose them as well but it might goes a long way for Apple to do that simply because of their price and not as "open" as Android. What I mean is that iOS is just for Apple's while Android is an open software platform that can be run on many devices' brands leaving us with many choices :)

Ok, enough for that, yes the Android based tablet. Is it a good thing? Of course it is. The line of this "pad" gadgets for Android has already started with the official introduce of Samsung's Galaxy Tab. Although I've yet to get my hands on that Tab but I can feel it's good gadget. Some of it's main features highlighted are:

1. Running on Android 2.2 (Froyo) we all already know this :p
2. 7 inch WSVGA (1024x600) 169 ppi TFT display.
3. 1.0GHz Processor with PowerVR SGX450

4. Batery - 4000mAh (Samsung claim it can run 7 hours of movie play)
5. 3.0 MP AF camera with LED flash at the back and 1.3 MP camera on the front for video chatting and etc.
6. Full HD (1080p) video player and recorder (720x480 @ 30fps)
7. Support MP3, AAC, OGG, WMA, AMR NB/WB, FLAC, WAV, AC3, MIDI and many more music file format for music player.
8. Memory: 16GB/32GB+Micro SD slot up to 32GB
9. Multi-touch zoom
10. Gyro sensor

and like other Android devices, it support apps download from Android Market. This Galaxy Tab is smaller than iPad and claim to be lighter (380 grams). With this device, Samsung also announce a new service called Media Hub, an iTunes like service which allows Samsung's portable devices user to buy and rent movies and TV shows. Another killer made for iTune? :p This Media Hub will set Samsung Android devices apart from others for sure.

So being gadget lover, I love to get my hands on this thing when it's available in Malaysia. I might end up not buying it because I still prefer netbook with windows and simply because I might can't afford it :p but if the price is a good deal would I buy one? Why not, if it fits my budget hehehe So the most important buying factor here is still the price :) Hope it come with an affordable price tag *crossing fingers*

Ok then, I think I better not let myself drool to much on this Galaxy Tab for now and keep the finger crossing hoping that it will come with a very affordable price :p

A Living Legend?

Yes he is a living legend, he's one of the most respected guitarist in the world and he's one of my all time favorite guitar player. Although I can't play like him but I like the way he pull every riff he played. Not that I want to play like him (because I know I can't) but I really love every music he played. Ever since the Guns N Roses era, every songs with his riff has always been something that worth to listen to. Familiar with songs like Sweetchild of mine and Don't cry? yes it's Slash, one of the Guitar's living legend. Too bad I didn't go to his concert in Malaysia last few months but anyway I'm sure many guitar players out there who like his music wants to play like him so bad :) I've tried but I still not there yet (maybe I'm not a talented person). So just for something other than Guns N Roses songs here's a theme song in video game called Godfather solo played by Slash... Enjoy...

Sarawak Bloggers Street Photography

Street photography is all about freezing the moments of all things in the streets and freezing action is guided by the randomness. Well, at least that's what I think hehehe. Last Sunday (August 29, 2010) 11 members of Sarawak Bloggers have gone out for an outing or a mini street photography meet up. The whole idea is to exposed the present members to street photography and sharing knowledge about it. The sharing was done by Robin, (thanks man!) a big street photography enthusiast. Personally, Robin is very good in this field and I'm glad that I meet him (if you don't believe me try visit his blog, you'll be amazed :p ).

Anyway I learned a lot of things during that session and what Robin share has really make me want to do more street photographing. Honestly, that was the first time ever I done street photography, I mean pointing my lens at random peoples and things. Before, I'm not so into street photography as I was afraid of getting the people mad and disturbing people's privacy and everything else. How could it not, imagine you're walking or in the midst of browsing through the items for sell at the street and suddenly someone you didn't know pointing the camera at you trying to take your photo. What would you feel? Awkward? Irritated? worry? pissed off? This is one thing in photography world which is so challenging I must say.

Doing street photography will surely get you into some troubles, like being scolded by people who mad at you taking their photo out of the blue and people will give you the WTF kind of look. But on top of that all, it is fun because you shoot something that is really random. Ok enough for the ranting, I can go all the way far doing that hehehe, now here are the photos I took (not as good as others' I think).

Sarawak Bloggers shutterbugs who turned up were Robin, Cyril, Fahriee, Angel, Yong Lim, Mike, Norman, Lance, Eve and Ivan. It's great hanging out with you all and nice knowing those whom I meet the first time, you guys rockzz :p

All in all it was a fun events, hope it will be organized again next time and hoping that many more Sarawak Bloggers member turn up, it will surely be more blast!! See ya...

Blackberry Torch on BlackBerry 6 OS

Naturally, I'm not a big fan of BlackBerry phone but finding out more about their phones make me want to try one. Furthermore I can see a lot people using BlackBerry phone are pretty much hooked up to it like those iPhone users. So I've made a odd assumption for myself that BlackBerry phone are also as good as iPhone and Android phone and if I had a chance I really want to try it.

My suddenly-growing interest in BlackBerry phone is majorly because of the latest BlackBerry 6 OS. What can I say, I'm an avid fan of something that make a phone so enjoyable and cool. Like iPhone and Android, Blackberry also have their range of apps to add to the enjoyable feature to BlackBerry phone. And the fact that some of my friends seriously admit that their BlackBerry phone is so addictive, add a further temptations to my growing-interest in BlackBerry phone.

So, what a new OS if there's no new phone model to run it in right? BlackBerry introduced the BlackBerry Torch. As far as my shallow BlackBerry knowledge is concern, this is BlackBerry's first slide phone (correct me if I'm wrong). For a new-to-BlackBerry kind of person, this phone is so cool. I even forgot about my Android phone for a while when I browse about it. It has really make me want to have my hands on this phone. One thing for sure (and used to be my nature in choosing phone) I like a slide phone more than any other types. It offers me a couple of option for keypad depending on my situation and preferences. Plus with the cool interface, features and OS, this phone has really caught my intentions.

There are so many things to explore about this BlackBerry Torch, one thing I know, it makes me want to give it a try :p (oopps sorry for while there Android hehehe). Google Tablet? In November?

Believe it or not, this is not impossible. Since Android 2.2 have a great success and beat even the iOS4 of Iphone, it's no surprise if Google have another machine inside their vault to top out the Apple Ipad. There's a rumors saying that Google tablet are in the making and will be powered with an OS called Chrome OS. So it might be called Chrome OS Tablet. downloadsquad.com said the device is being built by HTC (hope this is true :p ) but it will be first introduce by with Verizon. So even if this is true, it might take a while for it to be in Asia or Malaysia :( They also mention that it will be launched on 26 November this year and that's is a Black Friday in USA, the busiest shopping day of the year, quiet a good date for launching new products though.

But according to reuters.com it might not HTC to be first to introduce the Chrome OS tablet, they quote Digitimes saying that it will be Motorola, not HTC!! For the full article read it HERE.

Whether it will be HTC or Motorola, both will not be impossible. Both of them have their own line up of their Android phone but personally, it will be good if it's HTC :p

Anyway, there are few assumptions on what will the Chrome OS Tablet's hardware will be. Some different assumptions but one thing which I found to be mention by both of the assumptions is that, the tablet will be based on NVidia's Tegra 2 platform. I guess all we can do now is jut to wait and see :p

If this Chrome OS Tablet will be a reality, one thing that I really hope for, I hope it will not be very expensive, maybe around RM1500 to RM1999 would be good :p

Let's crossing our fingers and wait patiently though.

Moving In The Speed Of LIght I Wish

Have you ever wishing that you're able to move fast? Like Superman or having a car that can move in the speed of light? I know I do, especially when I have a lot of things to do, I always wish that I could do things faster :p but being a lazy bone as I am, everything always fast if it's done in the "last-minute". I bet many of us familiar with that term and that term has caused many of our lives to be very "miserable". And that's what currently happening to my life now!!! Anyway let's not start to talk about my life, it's not interesting at all, too boring!

Ok, I have an interesting fact to be shared here. Speaking of the speed of light, we can easily say it's almost impossible or human to go that fast. Even Einstein's theories says that if Human can reach that traveling speed they can end up at other dimension o.O (correct me if I'm wrong here :p ) But if you ask me what make me think that it is impossible for human to travel or move even with vehicle in reaching the speed of light, my answer is simple, because we human are so fragile! Even if we did invented a machine that can go in the speed of light, the force from that speed can tear our skin and make our bones break.

Try to go on a roller coaster with your friend, when you go down the steepest slope of that roller coaster, take a look at your friend's face, what do you think you'll see? His/her face skin move or flatten or *I don't know how to describe it* or just like the picture below :p because the force of the high speed and wind adding more force to it. Try it then you'll know what I mean hehehe

Just for the interesting fact, the speed of light goes 500,000 times faster than Concorde, a speed goes almost equal to 299,792,458 meters per seconds and with that you can go around the world no more in 80 days but 7 times in just one seconds!!!!!

What's this symbol? Without searching for it at any source, what do you understand about this symbol? and what do you think it represent? Here are some clues, this symbol can be found on some vehicles dashboards (but not in Malaysia la maybe), it's a warning sign, it's like fuel warning, if the something goes low it light up. Still have no idea? Take a wild guess before you proceed reading........

Done guessing? Well, ok, it actually a warning symbol of warning symbol for TPMS. TPMS stand for, Tire Pressure Monitoring System. When one or more of your car's tires is 25% below the recommended pressure this symbol will light up. It has my attention as in over 10 years of my driving experiences, I always hope that this kind of thing exist as it is hard to know whether your car tire is low on pressure. Most of the time we only notice the tire pressure is low when it look really flat. The symbol has been made required on all vehicle starting from 2008 models but in Malaysia? Nahh.. Wait another few more years for that small, simple things to be available. We always wait until something almost obsolete or when others are 10 step further when we acquire it. Anyway, this symbol is actually kind of funny and if from a first look, I bet you won't think it's representing tire pressure no? :p

HTC Hero - Best Mobile Handset

This is not my self-proclaim, indeed it is HTC Hero won the Best Mobile Handset at the Global Mobile Awards 2010. Although I'm not a HTC Hero user but hearing this news make me wonder, where are the other overrated mobile phone brands? :p I guess Android and HTC Sense have really bring out the best from HTC phone, no doubt it is a very effective collaboration between Android and HTC though. HTC is among the first to introduce Android phone to the mass market in the early introduction of Android platform. I still remember that I've used one of it's low end Android 1.6 phone the HTC Tattoo for almost a year and as a whole I'm satisfied with it and now I continued to use HTC phone :p

Although it is the HTC Hero that won the awards but it really does reflect the HTC and Android as a whole. I'm a bit "sucking up" here because I'm a proud HTC user hehehe

It's been quiet sometimes I didn't write something of a personal thought of myself, I mean about me and what I've gone through or about me and my life (sounds lame hehehe). But don't get me wrong this is not merely to tell everyone of what I've been doing, where I've been and what I've acquired. Just some random thoughts about things happening around. A lot of things that keep my life preoccupied for the past month that I didn't even have the time to update my blog frequently. I always wanted to do like one post each day but have not achieve it yet (I'm a lazy-bone and excellent procrastinator that's why :p ).

In the last month when I think back the most talked-about topic (by me with others) is majorly on politics. I'm not trying to do a campaign here but, well, as I said before just to express my random thoughts. It is no surprise that topic become the highly discussed within last month and even the next few month as the state election will be take place at anytime soon. Everyone have their own opinion on every issues during this period of time. One things that I would like to highlight is this video:

What do you think? If any of you have read some article from some blog sites before then this will be somewhat a surprise (I know it is for me). When I was reading the article regarding to the same issue in this video I thought there were a lot of protesters but seems like from this video it's only a small group. What was I really surprise about were the answer to the questions that they were asked about. Some questions came across my mind: Why on earth they want to do this "small" protest when they doesn't even been to or meet the Penans? Why they even bother to voice out their protest on behalf of the Penans (from far away, although Sarawak's CM was there) when us here in Sarawak didn't even think about doing the same? What was they actually want? Just to protest? Does what they do bring good effects to the Penans already?

The questions goes on and on and a lot more! What I want to stressed out here is that don't do that kind of thing when you didn't really know what was actually happening and what you're doing. You will make fool of yourself. If you insist on doing it make sure you've done some homework or fieldwork first, have your information right and then go and protest. What they do is good in the sense that they want to help to represent the Penans but they failed to be smart in doing it and now with this video they look like a bunch of fools. And I don't like when they use ~~tribe~~, here in Sarawak it is more polite to use ETHNIC or e.g. Penan People or just as simple as the Penans, ~~tribe~~ is like we are still in cavemen era, not appropriate anymore. Back to this video, if they really serious in voicing out the Penans rights they better do it seriously and meet the Penans first, this is just not the way.

I think that's enough for commenting that video, what's done is done. We all (like me) didn't know what actually they have in mind and why they doing it. I actually pity those people, seriously I really do, now they've become a joke that the whole world can watch. Again I say what they do is good but not properly done. Personally I feel like they've been a bunch of victims of something which they don't really know what. Who knows maybe they were force to do it or paid to do it or this is just another political drama. In easy saying, only God knows. Till next time..... Oh by the way if I were there I will ask one extra question: Where did you get your Sarawak-Borneo Land of the headhunters T-shirts? :p

Android 2.2 Froyo, Wow!!!!

Seeing these videos on Android 2.2 Froyo give me a big goose-bums, seriously this Android 2.2 is so cool. I can't find any other word to described it, just Awesome!!

I like the portable Wi-Fi hotspot, from what I understand that I will be able to use my Android 2.2 (if I have one :p ) as a Wi-Fi modem without any complicated setup and cable. But it might not going to work well here in Malaysia I think considering the 3G broadband speed we currently have hmmm. Anyway Android 2.2 is one hell of a good phone OS, I can feel that Iphone really have a great competition from this Android 2.2 :p

HTC Wildfire - My Experience

This will be a very short update on HTC Wildfire as I promised to give my view and share my experience with it like what I mention earlier in this post. Because I'm too busy this few weeks so I didn't had the chance to really update this. As mention in my previous post this HTC Wildfire is no doubt a beauty/handsome phone, the looks is an easy reason to fall in love with it. But this Wildfire is also no doubt a lower end HTC smart phone and compare to others in the line up like HTC Legend and Desire, some features has been not included in Wildfire. As I've used HTC Tattoo before this Wildfire can be said to be a replacement of Tattoo or an enhance and upgraded version of Tattoo. As most of the HTC user know Tattoo is one of those low end and among the cheapest when Android phone was first introduced by HTC in their line up.

Compared to its predecessors, the Tattoo, Wildfire look more advance and matured in term of design (like Tattoo have grown up hehehe). So here are some of the upgraded feature of this Wildfire:

1. Running on Android 2.1 (Tattoo on Android 1.6) but the processor is still the same as Tattoo

2. Bigger 3.2 inches screen compared to Tattoo's 2.8 inches screen but sadly the resolution is still the same old 240x320 QVGA.

3. No more four way navigation button, Wildfire equipped with HTC's latest Optical Trackball, a very nice new addition.

4. New 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, Tattoo only have 3.2 megapixel camera without auto focus and flash so this is a very good upgrade.

5. Improved battery capacity from 1100 mAh in Tattoo to 1300 mAh in Wildfire.

From those five major upgrades, although it is a low end smart phone, this Wildfire is still a sophisticated multi-function phone. It got the good looks and it featured with some good features. So enough for the technical specifications, now what I really like about this phone after a week playing with it? Here's what I like:

1. Optical trackball! Innovative addition by HTC, I like it because it is something different, not a typical kind of navigation button on a typical phone.

2. Android 2.1, what great OS on a rather cheap phone, even low budget person like me can have a taste of the great Android.

3. Super-sensitive capacitive screen, no need to press the screen too hard.

4. Five megapixel camera with auto focus and flash (which can be turned into a flashlight when needed)

5. All of the social networking apps were pre-installed, such as facebook, twitter and plurk.

6. Awesome social networking widget the "Friend-Stream" where all major social networking site account updates can be view on one widget.

7. New enhance caller-ID, integrate their facebook and birthday into their contacts detail and every-time they called the update will be shown.

8. The new "Leap View", like it because it is something new :p

9. Something HTC called "Polite Ringer" and it does really polite, when someone called, the phone ring, you pick up the phone and the ringer volume will automatically drop and when you're still sleeping and someone nagging you by calling in 4.30 a.m just to remind you to bring important files when you're already put it in your car the day before, you just have to turn your Wildfire over and the ringing will stop altogether :p

10. A lot of useful and awesome apps in the android market which can be useful in your everyday life with Wildfire :p

..... and many many more like-able things

Yes, that were the 10 things I like about this Wildfire, not only it's a pretty/handsome phone but it still a sophisticated phone. But like other things in this world, nothing is perfect and so does this Wildfire, it also has its own downsides. Furthermore, this Wildfire is not the high end smart phone, that's the thing that should be kept in mind. It shows how concern HTC are, they even come with a phone which a low budget person (like me) can buy and have a taste of the great Android 2.1 :p (I'll praise them more if they give me free HTC Evo or Nexus One myahaahaha).

Ok now the sad part of this phone:

1. Because the processor is still the same old processor, running too many apps at one time can make this phone lag.

2. The installation of any apps will be installed into the phone little memory and can't be installed into memory cards, so you might not be able to installed all the apps you want (this happen to be the downside of Android 2.1 and they'll fixed it in Android 2.2 I think)

3. Small phone memory (for apps installation)

4. Quiet a small QWERTY pad in vertical mode so for more comfort of typing use horizontal mode.

5. The touch screen panels at the bottom part of the screen is too sensitive and rather a troublesome although it is a good substitute to the button kind of thing. You can easily mistakenly accidentally pressing the search button when you operate it with you right hand and the even worst when using left hand you can accidentally pressing the Home button especially when typing in vertical mode.

So that's the 5 things I don't like about that phone but what I like about it were 10 things so the likeness still win hehehehe

Using phone with Android 2.1 one can never run away from the feel to really find a good apps to suits their preference. Android market have so many free apps which can be an additional awesomeness to your phone and in this case the Wildfire. So here are some recommended apps:

1. Dolphin Browser HD - Advance web browser with translation capabilities, sharing text and web url into the social network and with many extension and of course the best of it is, it's free! Click HERE for more info.

2. Taskiller - For killing apps running in the background to make the phone faster. Personally this is a must have apps

3. Document To Go - For viewing, creating and editing documents such as words, sheets and slideshow.

4. PicSay - For editing and getting creative with your photos

5. Yahoo! Mail - For those using yahoo mail service (Gmail user need not to worry, it's already in the phone.

6. Seesmic - For those who wants different Twitter client apart from the already-installed HTC Peep and Friend Stream apps.

7. Facebook - Official Facebook apps for Android

8. Bluetooth File Transfer - The name says it all :p

9. OI File Manager - Managing file inside your phone.

10. PhotoFunia - Having fun with your photo

That are 10 recommended apps for Wildfire, more than that do feel free to browse in the Android Market. As for games, I would not suggest any, simply because everyone have different preferences and again do browse the Android Market for any games you like :)

So that's all about Wildfire that I would like to share and any suggestion or comments are very much welcome (though I know I might be last to share about this phone :p ).

Conclusion: This phone is for those with low budget but want to have a taste of Android platform phone, with not much concern over using it to the extreme level, only do light web surfing, social networking (Facebook, Twitter etc..), not for hardcore mobile gamers, not much multi-task and those who seek something different or switching from older platform phone such as Symbian and ordinary phone. And for me, so far I'm satisfied with my Wildfire :p

Wow!! things are getting further for Chuck and Hannah. Short recap; Chuck meet Hannah (Kristin Kreuk) in the 5th episode and in the 6th episode Hannah accept Chuck invitation to work at Buymore and she did, she have become the next "hot chicks" in the Buymore crew and Jeff, Lester and Morgan are all around her (like always when there's a pretty lady in Buymore). In this 7th episode, Chuck and Hannah have the chance to work together. What kind of "working together" that they do? Maybe Hannah will become the next person to be involve in Chuck's spy life? The answers are all below.... Enjoyyyyy...

p/s: Have any of you ever wonder will Hannah (Kristin Kreuk) be a permanent guest star in Chuck Season 3. Well, I guess we have to watch the whole remaining episodes though :p

Episode 6: Chuck vs The Nacho Sampler

It's quiet a while I didn't update on Chuck's post but it will be good if I post up 5 episode today right? :p Lets start with 6th episode. In this episode of Chuck season 3, again Chuck had a new experience in his journey as a spy. We all know all this while Chuck is the asset and now he will have to attend to his own asset with his own way. Some funny scene can be watched in this episode and Chuck will really gone his way of handling his first ever asset. Questions are, will he be successful? Wonder who is the asset? Is it another genius like Chuck himself? or maybe another Intersect-filled-in-the-brain guy similar to Chuck? Well the answer is...... watch it below :p Oh yes before that have you watched the 5th episode? Know who are the guest star featured? Did I mentioned it will be an absolute stunner? yes I did but not only referring to Stone Cold Steve Austin only hehehe also to Hannah aka Kristin Kreuk :p For your extra information, thing will be progressing between Chuck and Hannah and even more sweet in this 6th episode :p Would it be nice if Hannah really does work in Buy More together with Chuck right? HTC Wildfire - 1st Impression

This will not be a review post for this HTC Wildfire (that I just acquired) but rather a short post on to express my opinion at the very first sight seeing and feeling this phone. It won't be too technical and in depth yet until I really experience it. HTC Wildfire is one of the latest models introduced by HTC alongside other models such as the HTC Desire and Nexus One. But Wildfire is not actually fit to called Desire and Nexus One's siblings though, it would be rather come between those two or derived from them. What I mean is seems that some part of Wildfire was taken from Desire, another from Nexus One and even from other earlier phone like the HTC HD2. Hard to be digested? Well wait until my review on this phone (after a few days playing with it) then I'll explain more as I will be able to detect which part belong to which phone and "paste" onto the HTC Wildfire.

So yeah, Wildfire is a good looking, handsome/pretty android phone, no doubt, with its sleek and neat design with not-overdone curve side which is identical to most of HTC phone. When looking at this phone before actually touching it and have never tried HTC phone before, one can fall in love easily with this phone especially the one in red color. As for me, I'm tired of the black, gray and silver colored phone now though my favorite color; one of them; is black. This time I told myself I'll go for something different so I go for red. Think that red is sissy or gay? Nah!!! What this this phone called? Yes Wildfire, so because it is a Wildfire so red is more relevant, right? Whatever, I like it red this time.

If anyone asked me why buy this phone? Because it is HTC, simple answer, I've used HTC before, the HTC Tattoo and this Wildfire is actually for me to replace that Tattoo (not tattoo on my body ok :p ). If we line up all the current HTC android phone and categorized them in group such as entry level, armature, semi-pro and pro, this Wildfire will be easily and without doubt fall into the entry level category. Why? because first: it is the cheapest among the current HTC android phone, two: the specifications is quiet a low end and three: it lack of some advance features such as those fitted into the higher end model like HTC Legend and Desire. But this is not a simple and worthless phone. It still a sophisticated and multifunctional smart phone which for me personally can shake the more expensive phone like Iphone 3G and even Iphone 3GS though it might not win the battle :p

Wildfire runs on Android 2.1 and it's only a matter of time for the latest Android 2.2 to be available for upgrade. Physically this phone exterior are pretty much straight forward without any unappropriate buttons. Although there's no shutter button for the camera but this will not be a big problem as the optical trackpad took over the job. Did I mention optical trackpad? Well this is one thing that I like in HTC's new ranges, innovative I must say :p The 3.2 QVGA capacitive screen is good enough to compliment this phone and the style of this phone look more mature than it's predecessor the HTC Tattoo. I do admit, when it come to looks, Wildfire is not disappointing at all.

So I'll play with this beauty for a few days and I will sure to go back to give my opinion on it and share my experience. It will not be long, if I'm too impressed or too disappointed with it, tomorrow I'll write a post about it :p So anyway, just wait for it then and for those who can't wait for my review and want to go and grab this Wildfire first, go ahead or those who already experience living with it, all your opinion and sharing are very much welcome. Eclipse and Twilight

Gosh!! It's been more than a week I didn't update my blog and doing my blog hopping. Got a lot of things going on lately (which also denied my option of going to RWMF). Though all of those thing doesn't consumed most of my time but they do cost me a lot of energy and caused my brain to do 125% thinking. Anyway, enough for my life, last Saturday I went for a movie to unwind myself. Got two option, watch Twilight or Predators and Twilight (Eclipse) won as my sister is so eager to watch what happen next in the continuation of that movie. I'm not a big fan of Twilight as well as any of the characters in that movie but I like vampire and werewolf movie. Anyway, I won't write a long post on this movie, I'll try to make it brief :p

Ok, my expectation before watching the movie was:

1. Hoping that it will be full packed with actions because some opinion said this might be the last Twilight sequel (might not be true). This is my biggest expectation and maybe at least 50% of the movie are packed with dramatic fighting scenes.

2. Also I expect that the vampire will be working together with the werewolf because of Bella.

3. One of the main characters will get killed.

4. Bella will not become a vampire.

5. Old enemy will hunt the vampire once more.

I don't have to introduce or mention who are the star in this movie as most of you know who they are from the last two sequels. Not much change in the actors and actresses anyway. If you've watched the last to Twilight then you know who to expect in that movie.

In the last sequel of this movie before this Eclipse, the ending was really quiet disappointing which seems to be be "hanging". So what I'm hoping for in Eclipse they will have a good story line to compensate that. What do I think of the movie after watching it? Well if you ask me and really want to know, honestly, it's not as good as expected that it was rather a disappointment watching it (in my cruel thoughts: It would be better if I watch Predator instead :p ). This is my view of that movie:

1. After half way throughout the movie, there are no fighting and action scene (got only few minor biting and vampire chasing kind of scene). Total disappointment as it not as what I expected.

2. The main action scene was a good one and as I expected the vampire working together with the wolfs, this part is the best part in that movie but the only one as such and yes it is because of Bella.

3. No main character get killed, only severely injured and only bad guys killed.

4. Bella has not yet became a vampire (no scene show that she did anyway).

5. Old enemy is back!!

The not-so-good about this movie:

1. Too much kissing scene!!!!

2. Too much lovey dubey kind of things instead of thrill actions!!!!

3. What a vampire and werewolfs movie without a lot of blood and brawl? One word, LAME!!!

4. It is confusing whether this movie is an action movie or a love story kind of movie. Well after give it a thought it is neither, don't know how to categorized it by the way hehehe

5. The Dakota Fanning's gang is too strong and they didn't even fight :p

The so-good thing about this movie:

1. Got a few funny scene especially when Bella caught in between Edward and Jacob in most of the things

2. The vampire and werewolf work together and seems like the rivalry could be ended in the next sequel if they have it.

3. The characters are all personally impressive and have their own unique personality.

4. A good love movie for all love story fans who seek alternative and different in love movie.

5. Good to watch if you're a big fans of any of the stars in that movie :p (of course la)

All in all, this movie is good to watch if any of you prefer love story with a little thrill action but if you're an action movie lover... ermmm.... hehehe decide for yourself..... By the way, ask me what I like about this movie, I will say I like Jane and Alice, why? I like their abilities, Jane can inflict immense pain on other with only a look and Alice? well I think many humans wish they had Alice's ability of seeing visions of the future, at least I know I do :p

Well people, just go watch Twilight Eclipse and give your own opinion. Mine might not be so much positive and you guys might have better opinion.. Adios...

That's a piece of one of my favorite songs Sinu (mean Sad) by Masterpiece an Iban rock band hailed from Sibu. They're not new in Sarawak Iban's music scene, they have been playing around Sibu and other place for quiet some time just that only late last year that their song heard from the local Iban radio channels in Sarawak. This year their debut album, Merindang ke bintang has been released. Though it only contain 6 songs but this is one further step to widen their music influence in Sarawak and to push themselves further into Sarawak Music mainstream.

What I like about this band is that their music is not like typical Iban music (for Sarawak people they know what I mean hehehe). Their music is more updated and modern indie rock style in line with today's tune. Not many Sarawak's local musician have enter the local music mainstream with rock music but a lot in underground scene. Consist of five member namely Depha (vocalist), Kent (guitarist), Will (lead guitarist), Marcus (bassist) and Arnold (drummer), Masterpiece recorded their debut album with Masterjam Studio and Fish Farm records and this album (like other Sarawak local music album) produce in DVD MTV karaoke. This album has been mixed and mastered by Norman from Ethnic Trasmission and together with Daniel (also from Ethnic Transmission) put some touch to one of the song in this album. This album sold in selected stores throughout the states with a price of RM19.90 or maybe can contact them to find out where to purchase the DVD.

I'm glad Sarawak local band like Masterpiece managed to produce such a fine and different kind of song in local Iban dialect. We're used to rock song in other language but here in Sarawak not many dare to produce an album with a rock music concept in local dialects which I hope many more will come out of the underground scene to exposed their music in Sarawak's ethnics' dialect.

This is a good example of the new revolution in Sarawak's local music scene and I believe if things like this supported and promoted by other agencies will surely can help in bringing Sarawak and Sabah's local music to the national mainstream. One thing that is so special about Sarawak and Sabah music produce in local ethnic dialect is the dialect itself all unique and can be an alternative to the music commonly produce in Malay, Chinese and Indian language. This is a healthy scene if our government is serious about local harmonies in diversities.

So back to this band, yes for those fans of Iban songs/Sarawak's ethnic dialect songs or those who love to try to hear something different from English, Malay, Chinese and Indian songs should check this band out. The reality of Car price in Malaysia

Yesterday I received a forwarded email from a colleague. I was not surprise by what's inside the article but was rather pissed off due to how we have been indirectly denied from the rights as human to have a taste of what other people in most of other parts of the world had. Yes, it is about car price in our country. The article is written by Syed Akbar Ali and I'm not going to publish that article here but I will rather crop up all the information which we need to know, especially if any of you plan to buy a new car. This is just a matter of sharing and no intention to condemn anyone as I felt that this information is worth to be spread and as we have the very right to know this sort of thing when it's involving we being the victim as we are all consumers. So this will be shared in the context that we need to know as many information as we should on any consumers items in our country as this consciousness can bring saving to us or avoid being a victim of overpriced things, so in this post it will be about car price. So crunch this people:

In the United States of America (a developed country which we are also aspiring to become by the year 2020) a 2009 model BMW 535i Sedan is selling for about USD50,367.00. This is only RM178,000 - about the price of a Toyota Camry 2..4L here in Malaysia . The same BMW sells in Malaysia for about RM450,000.

The 2009 model BMW 328i 2 door Convertible sells for USD44,014 or RM155,36900 in the US In Malaysia the same car sells for over
RM460,000. This is an untenable situation.

The 2009 model Audi A4 2 Door 2.0T Cabriolet Convertible sells in the US for USD40,328.00 or RM142,357. In Malaysia the same car would sell for about RM265,000.

In the US the 2009 model Volkswagen GTI 2.0T sells for USD 24,039 or RM85,000 only. In China the same car will cost around RM60,000. Over here the same VW car sells for about RM200,000.

And the 2010 model Toyota Camry 2.4L sells in the US for USD 19,659...00 or RM69,396 In Malaysia the 2008 Toyota Camry 2.4L sells for RM170,000. Toyota Camry 2.4L, 2010 model. RM69,000 in the US

Car prices in Malaysia are about three times higher than the prices in the United States . We are a developing nation. Our land and labour costs are so much cheaper than the US . Why are our cars so expensive? It does not make any sense. Tak masuk akal.

Then here are some car prices from our neighbour Indonesia .
The Toyota Altis sells in Indonesia for about RM46,000. The same car sells here for around RM 112,000. Again we are three times more expensive than Indonesia

The Honda Jazz sells here for RM108,000.. In Indonesia the Jazz sells for RM 36,000. Three times more expensive.

After reading that article (and if it is true and I think it is true) I can help but to feel sad as a people of our country, we even sell cars almost three times higher than Indonesia!!! I didn't see any good of selling things so ridiculously overpriced like this. If this is not happening then even low paid modern slave like me will have a chance to drive Toyota Camry but now I can only afford a small "kononnya reliable" national cars which cost almost the same as (or even expensive) than Honda Jazz sold in Indonesia!!! When we know the quality, reliability and the standards of those two cars are far far different!! "macam langit dengan tanah bezanya" but I was left with no choice, I was forced to accept the fact that I've been denied of my rights to have a taste of what other people in other country are able to have in their life (and I do know even that consider as low price can be very expensive in Indonesia :p but even Indonesia can sell that car cheaper, why can't we? well of of course Indonesia didn;t have national car interest to protect though :p ) So why is this happening? What, only those filthy rich and those blood sucking politicians can use those cars, oh yes of course they even have the privilege to buy those car cheaper!!! or even get it for free (using duit rakyat la of course)!! and we the people can only drive small national car which as the same price as the higher standard car in the world's market, ridiculous? Well if there's any other words other than "ridiculous" can describe it, please enlighten me.

One thing I know, I felt like I'm being abused and that's not something good. Anyway, that's the "privilege" as a our country's people, what can we do? Nothing much, want to boycott national car? No can't do because we don't have the money to buy imported car!! So again we're force to accept something that we are not willing to. *sigh*

Well, I know this thing have been known for so long (and I might be the among the last to comments about this) but we tend to forget easily, so this can be like a reminder to all as we all are consumers. So what happen to the statement "consumer always right"? Nahhh forget it... Anyway give this a thought.

And if any of you wonder how true is the price of those car above, use your Google to "investigate" the price in other country and find the latest foreign exchange rate and convert it, it's a simple math anyway :p

I've been CHUCK ed for the 3rd time yay!

I'm a big fan of tv series Chuck. Well for any of you who wonder what this series is all about, well, briefly it's about a geek who become a spy accidentally hehehe, that's brief enough I think :p Anyway I've waiting for the third season of the series to be aired in Axn but it took too long to wait (I don't know when will it be aired there, so far no sign that they will premiered it) and I've heard it has been aired in US until the last episode. So I can't wait anymore and I started to try to find where I can download this things but most of them are in very big file and certainly my internet connection speed can't handle it as what I want it to (I mean very fast download, maybe like 500mb in 5 or 10 minutes and then I can watch it straight away hehehe) I even asked my friend to download it for me and I think it's done, only wait for it to "reach" me :) so the best way is by watching it via streaming. Anyway, I managed to get a code to share the first episode here (and I hope I'll get the second episode also and you guys can watch it here), so I hope you people enjoy it.. chucked!!!

World Cup 2010. 1st round

The first round of 2010 world cup almost over as two more matches to go and 2nd round will come right after. Seeing the progress of the first round things are rather so much unpredictable and like what I've expected it's going to be hard to predict which team will be in the final four. In the first round so far (not including tonight's two more match) only 8 teams won their match, Korea Republic, Argentina, Slovenia, Ghana, Germany, Netherlands, Japan and Brazil. Of all those, only Germany win with an impressive 4 goals to 0 against Australia, others with thin winning which mostly 1-0. So seeing all the teams that have played until last night's match most of them seems to be playing quiet unimpressive, two possibilities here, 1. Whether all of the teams are almost equal in terms of capabilities or 2. Some teams that are expected to be playing very well are not giving their 100%. So what I hope for or maybe most of the fans hoping for a better match in the second round.

It's too early to say which team had played the best because almost all the matches are rather played averagely well. This is world cup so I bet most of the fans, including me expecting excellent matches as this is where every nations put their best of the best players on the field. So the performance might be not consistent for all teams in the second round and I'm expecting some changes in all matches. So yeah can't wait for the second round and hoping for better played matches.

Road MORON!!! Threatening You Life...

Yesterday I was driving happily to the city center with my favorite music playing on my radio and not much car on the road (as people are trying their best to get into tHe Spring although they put "Parking Is Full" sign at one entrance to the car park or maybe some still sleep due to the football-insomnia experience the night before). At one of the traffic light I stop at the red light and didn't expect anything wrong as there were only two cars on the lane, mine and another car beside me and no other car behind mine or his. Just when the light turn green, I put on the gear 1 and start to accelerate slowly and gain speed at about 20 or 30 km/h when.... Suddenly I saw a car right in front of mine (cornering fast like it was drifting but not) which almost make me ramp into it, luckily I didn't accelerate too fast and manage to make an emergency sudden stop. I start to shout "C***i palak n***ek kau, sial, m*****f****r road bxsxaxds!!!!!!!!!!!!".

The Illustration on how the situation was. (My car is that white Bugatti Veyron sport grand convertible myhahaha *ada hati mo drive Veyron kunun ceh!!* and that moron's car is the green one)

It was lucky nothing bad happen, (and luckily I'm not actually driving a Bugatti Veyron hehe if not... hmm..) imagine if I accelerate fast and crash into his car, his life will be at the very bad stake as I will ramp directly to his side and worst of all there's kid inside that car not wearing a seat belt (I know because that time the kid was standing at the other side front seat). That's a super crazy maneuver and so damn crazy. What was he thinking, he can just wait for me to pass before making that illegal and deadly turn (no other car behind me) or at the first place when he know he want to make a U-turn why use that outer lane, why not go to the correct lane instead. I thought we all are gifted with brain and the ability to judge what's wrong and right what safe or not but this moron left his brain inside the fridge at his house or maybe he didn't need that brain and he gungho on everything. So damn stupid, imagine also if there's a car behind me, I might not ramp into him but the car behind me will ramp into mine. There a lot of bad bad consequences prior to his stupid action.

That has really spoil my happy driving and I was thinking, you might think that you're driving safely (as we follow the road safety rules and law and remembering the campaign) there're also danger when some bastards or bloody moron who doesn't have their brain intact inside their cranium doing something so damn stupid and endangering your life. Maybe he was trained that way in his coffee-shop-license-road-moron-driving-school! Anyway the main point is you're not safe driving on the road even if you're a very discipline driver when road moron like this still exist. I don't have anything to suggest to overcome this problem as this come from us ourselves. And as we always say "Drive Safely" every time!! and hoping that no road moron will cause danger to our driving...

p/s: We might not be perfect and make mistake some time or all the time (like forgot to signal when changing lane and etc..) but doing stupid thing like that should it be consider as mistake? when we can clear consciously decide not to do it because our judgement say it is dangerous.. hmmmm...

World Cup 2010.. My say..

Probably the most hot topics these few days or weeks is the 2010 World Cup. No doubt it is the biggest sport events in the world which people all over the world anticipate for 4 years. Everybody will put high hopes onto their favorite teams and clearly different from BPL or other leagues where in World Cup all the best players from each nations regardless what club and league they play will play for their nations. The beauty about it is when some top players who's rival in the club league will play together and also some who were team mates in their club will become rival and play against each other, so different kind of play can be expected.

But of all the excitement of anticipating the world which will be officially started in the few days, some major disappointments have happened. Star player like Ferdinand chosen as England's captain but severely injured and adding some pressure to the teams when they have to really "clean up" the mess that have made in the last few years of not performing well in World Cup. But don't get me wrong, England is not the team that I favor but I do want to see England strive to improve in this year's World Cup.

If you ask me what's my favorite team in this year's World Cup, well I don't really have a specific team to favor but this year I will really look up to Argentina. Why? Well I guess I shared a common opinion with most Argentina's fans on the fact that we want to see how the team will strive under Maradona's handling. We all know (well most of us) how's Maradona's life in football world jeopardized by his drug scandal but this year he will managed not a club but a nations on the fight to win the most prestige title of the best football nation in the whole world.

Most of us also know about Maradona's "hand of god" which is the biggest controversy in 1986 World Cup's quarter-finals against England which saw one of the two Maradona's most famous goals in football history. What is "hand of god" goal? Well, Maradona score a goal with an illegal but unpenalised handball, yes he score a goal with his hand :p Another Maradona's famous goal is when he dribble past six England players before scoring a goal in which in 2002 that goal has been voted as Goal of the Century by FIFA.com voters. Sounds "dirty" but that's Diego Maradona :p I know many people hate him over this "hand of god" thing despite many other claiming he's a legend but hey, we all have different opinions. Some says he's a cheater but what about the referee that time? (just want to have a different view hehehe) Want to know more watch this video:

My question is can he bring Argentina to the top of football world with his "hand of god"? (in a good way of course :p ) Seeing the Argentina's squad this year they have a strong line up as a whole but I do doubt the defense line up and hoping their defense will do well. The have quiet a strong attacking line up with the world best player of the year, Lionel Messi leading the front line plus Carlos Tevez no doubt this can be a strong combination. At the center? well they have quiet a "young" line up there with player like Mascherano place at the midfield. Personally, they have a good line up but not a very balance in term of "strength", they may have two of the best strikers in front but I do think their midfield and defenders have to do extremely well to create the balance. And of course Maradona have to really work the best combination to bring up the best of his team.

So enough said, I think it will be too early to predict who will win the world cup this year as all team seems to have very competitive line up. Though I will look up to Argentina and England but surely I will watch (if I have time and chance) other matches too. This will only come once in four years so I will anticipate great matches from all teams and yes expect the less-productive period from all workforce during this coming World Cup :p

It's few days to the 2010 World Cup so put on your "game face" people :p

While typing this post I actually don't know what to write or doesn't have anything to post about. But I was too bored stuck at home and I felt like I've neglect my blog for quiet a while (as I went off for Gawai). So because I was back from Gawai I think it's worth to share a few photos I took that time. Not many photos was taken during Gawai as I was "preoccupied" with a lot of things that didn't really permitted me to bring my camera around. Plus, I won't be able to take any photo when holding a bottle or glass or can at one hand :p or when I just sitting and have conversation with people then taking photo while they talk to me will certainly annoyed them. So the only time that I was free to take some photo during the Junior Kumang Gawai competition held at my longhouse as during this time people were pretty much concentrate onto the event and leave the drinking, eating and chatting aside for a while. So enough said, here are a few photo from that competition. (Sorry for the not-so-good photo).

Gawai & Keamatan, Tuak, Tapai and Lihing

It's end of May and June soon will come. This time of the year, traditionally marked the end of harvesting season and the Dayaks will celebrate the good luck of getting good harvest with a celebration called Gawai. It will be held in the beginning of June every year and now it has come again. What so significant of Gawai celebration? Well if you asked me, all I can think of is the Tuak hehehe. For some people, the spirit of celebrating Gawai is already in the air and I'm sure that by now many people already went back to their village or longhouse or some still on the road.

While in Sabah, they will celebrating "Pesta Kaamatan". I guess the concept is almost the same as Gawai and I know they also got something like Tuak but they called it Tapai or "Kinomol" (I hope I'm right there hehe, can't really remember already) and something called "Lihing". I don't know the different because for me be it Tuak, Tapai or Lihing they're taste the same (Tuak and Tapai made of rice and also called rice wine while I guess Lihing is the same also) the different is the intensity of dizzy effect :p they caused hehehe or shall be said the "strength" of alcohol effect or maybe the contains of alcohol they have. For me personally, Lihing is stronger than Tapai while Tuak's "strength" varies depending on how the brewers want it to be, should it be strong and "harsh" (I hope that's the right word), mild, sweet and strong or sweet and less alcohol :p but the process of Tuak, Tapai and Lihing all the same, through fermentation. Tuak also can be made of fruit like pineapple and apple and I've heard Tapai also can be made out of fruit as well. Whatever it is I hope all those that will be drinking this festive time do "enjoy your BOOZE JUICE responsibly" hehehe

Another Promises? Can they fulfil it all?

I read some interesting things inside one of the local newspaper yesterday and a few really caught my intentions. But one that really stuck inside my mind up till this morning. So I would really want to express few of my questions on this things because all this "expectations" and "promises" shows that they want to try to resolve some old issues which have been around for so many years (but still failed to be resolved) and have been raise over and over again by various sides. A big ambition I would say. So here are what they expect if "they were to govern Sarawak" as said by the newly-elected MP.

1. All Sarawakians aged above 60 years old will be given at least RM400 annually for what they said to be as token of appreciation for their contributions to the state.

Will this be given to all Sarawakians? Or given according to their income level? Including those rural people also?

2. An annual allocation of RM80 million from State Budget will be allocated to eradicate poverty.

What is the NEW mechanism to "deliver" this allocation?

3. All schools, regardless of background will be given allocations based on their needs like what was being practiced in Penang, Selangor and Kelantan.

Define "needs". All schools in Sarawak especially in deep rural area have a lots of needs which might include rebuilding everything and building what was missing and importantly they in need of necessities like electricity. All those will be covered?

... and the next will be more interesting

If they were to take over Federal Government they expect to:

1. Give Sarawak 20% in oil royalties from Petronas, 15% more that the current 5%.

Realistically, most of those above (or maybe all) has never been promised before. I would not say that all of those were way too ambitious, maybe there ways to do it. But we have been "showered" with a lot of promises before and sometimes (or maybe most of the time) promises will become promises and in the end nothing resolved. I think many of us are sick off promises and one statement if they were serious about those things above (and of course if they take over) seriously "Walk The Talk" don't just talk and then go catch mosquitoes.

Anyway, those are all expectations or more like an ambitions though. In reality, there are more critical issues in Sarawak such as environmental and timber industries. So what should they do now? Don't enjoy the winning for too long and don't dream too much for the time being. Looking forward is good but don't neglect what's in front of your eyes. If change that you're talking about, seriously "change" first.

I'm not so much into politics kind of things but if politics can really effecting our life I think I have my right to express anything about it. If you asked me about what's my opinion on today's political scenarios, honestly I'm sick of it all. I do still believe that politic should not involving religions because religions is not for us to championed others. Also political party should not be of a "personal interest". I'm also not supporting any sides but I do hope for better living.

Well, the final question is what do you think?

Surfacing.. Pissed off mode!

I'm really pissed off today. I don't mind people judge me minimally (simply because I can't stop them) but I really hate those who feel like they know everything about me and what I do (while they didn't even understand anything) and make wrong judgement of me especially things that I didn't do. No need to do that, judge yourself before you judge others, we all ain't perfect, don't be too quick to jump to conclusion, you might hurt them. Anyway, I don't want to say too much, afraid if I get carried away things will get really "bad". Let one of my favorite songs spit the word out... (trying to be calm)...

Meat Grinder.. Thinking about eating mee?

Last week I watched this movie which was I thought another horror movie from Thailand but it doesn't seems to be horror to me though got a "child ghost" but not scary at all. The "scary" part is the fact that those people become cannibal without they themselves know. Don't believe me? Imagine this: you're out looking for something to eat and you craving for soupy mee and you found a small shop with a lot of customers, you asked one customer "what's so good here?" that customer said "the mee is superbly delicious" and you want to try it and so you did. There will be two ending to you, first you'll wake up finding yourself inside a tank with half reddish water and beneath you were a lot of hands, legs and heads, yes human body parts and you scream, then secondly you probably go back home with full stomach and happy with how the mee had taste and recommending it to others. You come back for more and in the end you found out that the meat you eat inside the mee is actually err... can guess? or you found out that you have just joining the cannibal society. Still don't get me? Find the DVD and watch it :p

Well in my honest view, this movie is rather a sadistic and tragic than horror. And not to mention gross and disgusting hehehe. For some people maybe hard to keep the sense of puking down when watching this movie :p But it's a good entertainment when you're sick of watching love movie, comedy or even Justin Bieber's videos myahahaha. A good change of taste in entertaining your eyes and stomach I must say ;p and also got "hot" scene blended with cruel scene too. But actually the story is about a lady having a very sadistic and horrific life experiences which leading her to a mentally ill and psychotic kind of life and doing some disgusting things to live and support her life, it is also about revenge and hatred. I guess that explain a bit about it.

I feel funny writing this post as I wanted to give the views of what actually happen in that movie but to do that it will require an over 100 pages novel hehehe. So I guess this trailer will explain some more.. enjoyyyy...

I'm BALD for Go Bald, yay!!

Sunday 16th May 2010, the Go Bald event finally took place. They've targeted 300 people to be shaved this year and over 400 turn up and get their head shaved. More than targeted, congrats and salute to all Bald-ers. The event was so "happening" and attracting a big crowd and I couldn't believe it myself when I saw so many people have sign up for the balding event. Looking at the number, indeed it is balder than ever :) What amazed me so much is that more than 20 from those who sign up is women/female (if my count is right) and even got one whole family going bald and what could be more meaningful than seeing some kids also get their head shaved. All in all this event is great and a blast! It has really makes me feel proud as a Sarawakian and as an imperfect human :)

Sarawak Bloggers rockzzz at Go Bald yeah!!!

Apart from supporting this event, I also get to meet some fellow bloggers like those in the photo above as well as author of cyrildason.com and annna.net and maybe many more but didn't really get to bump into them.

Anyway, for the record, I'm proud to be one of those people who support this event and the best ever reason for me to shave my head :) For whatever it is, this event has been a blast and something that is not only a charity but far more meaningful than that.

Hope: Neutral News Channels/Slots

Today I was asking myself, Why all news slot in national Tv channels saying all good things about one side only and saying every single little bad things about the opposites? It seems that all those news slots are not balance and fair. I'm not supporting any political sides but overtime I felt they really bias nowadays I'm kind of sick of it all (even make me feel want to throw up). I don't know if those news slot are used by specific political party to campaign and delivering their propaganda but the news are leaning only to one side. If this is keeping on, then our people mind will be affected or already affected in three ways:

1. They will be narrow minded, non-diverse thinking and even "single" minded

2. They will hate the praised side and become extreme against that side. (this could lead to the arising of extremists group)

3. There will exist a group with neutral or confused mind which is one of the reason young voters didn't want to vote.

I really want to know why this is happening and if it's related to the ethical matters, rules and regulations and even laws, might sounds reasonable, because I don't think anybody want to be put their life at "stakes" if saying bad things about the "praised side" if you know what I mean. Or even to get better business, cause if not then money won't came in as the other side has no "stable" income to pay big to the channels to praised them.

Maybe this is to differentiate the "good" side and the bad side and like other imbalance things in this world, the bad side will always become bad and the good will always be better. But we should taking into account on the fact that people's mind can change no matter how deep they're influenced, eventually they will change. I don't think all people can stand when only one side were praised and lifted all the time. Like eating the same things every meal every day, everyone can stand that? Yes, those who gained something from it can stand it all. The worst things can happen is that when people are sick of all that they will switch to the other side. They even can be confused by all that and they might not show it but what if they don't want to vote in elections or even register as voters because they don't know which side to choose.

We all know that the influence of the mass media can be very effective be it negatively or positively. I still strongly believe that, all news slots should be fair in their delivery (though it's hard to talk fairness and justice nowadays), we all know we human never perfect. So I don't think there's only one side that does good and the other side has never done any good (maybe they does not do good but do the good side always perfectly done everything right?)

I didn't mean to condemn anybody but as a normal citizens I have the right to give my thoughts and opinions when I felt confused or in question of something. Most people in our country still can't afford satellite Tv service and definitely they can only watch the national tv channels and this shows that all those channels is the best medium to deliver news and updates. That's why they have to be very fair and balance, maybe the government tv channels have their own objectives in delivering government's updates but the private national tv channels should not tied up to any sides and the best news slots/channels of all is when it is NEUTRAL.

Anyway I know I couldn't asked for more, besides I'm just a small normal citizen. I can only hope that there will be a neutral news slots or channels in our country (though seems like impossible) so that we will have better opportunity to compare and have better judgments on which is good and bad. Yes, craving for that piece of dried sour plum can kill you, albeit slowly.
Many types of dried fruits imported from China, Taiwan and other Asian
countries have been found to contain high levels of lead. The Government banned 18 important brands of dried fruits found
to have lead content of between 0.11 and 30.3 parts per million (ppm) or
milligram (mg)/kilogramme (kg).
Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said only dried fruit products other
than these brands would be allowed to be sold in the country.

"Under Regulation 38 of the Food Regulations 1985, the level of lead accepted
is two parts per million. Action will be taken if the lead content exceeds the
amount," he said.
Those who distribute food products deemed to be harmful to health can be
charged under Section 13(1) of the Food Act 1983. They can also be fined up to
RM100,000 or jailed up to maximum of 10 years or both if found guilty.
Liow said the ministry would ensure that the brands of banned dried fruit do not
enter the country.
Lead is a metal that can be absorbed into the body over time.
Excess consumption, especially by the young, can lead to serious health
problems, including delayed mental and physical development and learning
deficiencies.

Lead also poses risks to pregnant women and infants.
Malaysia’s move to bar the 18 brands of dried fruits comes in the wake of last
Friday’s move by the United States’ Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA)
advisory against eating dried fruits imported from Asia.
Testing results in Texas found that dried plums and products containing dried
plums contained lead as much as 300 times the acceptable level.
The FDA doe not have lead limits specifically for prunes, but the Centre for
Disease Control and Prevention has advised avoiding consumption of any
amount of lead.
The warning, however, did not apply to prunes from the US.

To Mom With Love... a son's heart say..

I don't know about other people but for me my mom is the best. Not that she's perfect (she's also a human) but throughout my life she seems to do more sacrifice. As a son I'm the most stubborn, disobedient and many more bad attitude and not to mention the most rebellious in the family. Back when I was a kid my mom was so fierce and most of the time I was beaten and slaps and many more "violence" ways to react to me when I do bad things. I didn't blame her because it's her job as a mom and one thing for sure it didn't leave any scars :p

Throughout my life she's have been very supportive in whatever I do, be it in education or sport (contrary to my dad). And one thing I know she never stops praying for my success in life. The reason why I said she had sacrifice so much is because seems that sometimes or maybe most of the time she's "alone" in doing and handling family matters. Plus ever since I know how to understand things, my mum have been a very very patient and strong person especially dealing with my dad who has hard time to lead the family. One thing for sure that I know she's really a soft person in heart as most of the time she didn't want to hurt anybody though those anybody might have hurt her badly.

My mom has never disappoint me in almost everything, be it when I asked money (during study time hehe) or other things. Accept that, because I spent most of my life growing up far away from home and only be at home for maybe a month or two in a year (totaled up hehehe), I was not really understood by her as she didn't know when I'm mad and still scolded me when I teased my sisters like I'm a little kid. I noticed when I finished my study she still not accepting me as grown up teenager and still treating me like I'm younger but along the way after that she learned that I'm grown up now and she need not to worry too much and gave herself some confident that I carry myself well already.

One thing for sure, my mom is the one person I could never betrayed or hate. She's the best ever and there could never be somebody like her. As today is the mother's day, I would like to say greatest appreciation to my mom and thank you so much. In God's will I will try my best to play my role as a son and may God bless my mom and all moms in the world....

Saloi goes to cinema? How?

Saloi the movie, the first ever Dayak Iban movie will make its debut screening schedule at May 8 2010. The news of this movie has been spread since last few month and it seems that the movie is ready for its premier. Since I was a kid, the story of "apai Saloi" has been a popular folklore. If according to what I've heard ever since I "know" apai Saloi, his story is about a clumsy old man who always make mistake in almost everything he do. Most of the time he thinks he was smart but what he did never are and always make things worst. All that make his story so funny.

But as stated by some news and blog, this movie will not pictured the story of apai Saloi but his son (of course) Saloi. I dunno much about this Saloi but some says in this movie he tries to live his life in the city which make him encounter a lot of hardship and cultural shocks. That will make his journey full of funny things I guess and I hope it will.

What I'm hoping for is that this movie will be a great motivation and an inspiration for other movie makers to do many more movies depicting life of Sarawak's people. I still remember while I was still in high school Mr. Os has tried to promote Sarawak movie through few of his VCD movies done wholly in Sarawak starting with a movie called Os anak Tarzan done mostly in Iban language (he really did learned to speak Iban and Sarawak Malays and his accent add to the funny elements :p ) then some more movies done in Sarawak Malays language. But sadly all those movie he done is not screened in the cinema and produce only in VCD.

Anyway, we will just have to wait for that movie to be premiered and we'll see how's the movie goers' reaction and support will be. One thing that I hope for is that, people will come and see this movie and give any feedback so that Sarawak's initiatives to venture into the silver screen world will not be jeopardized and for sure all those feedback if accepted by movie makers as a challenge; will improve our local's movie quality. As for me, I won't expect this movies to be as high standards and won't compared it to the Malaysian movies or international as they say the cost is about RM200k and only took 15 days to wrap up. But I'd rather expecting this movie to be on its own standard with its own uniqueness and identity, the Sarawak identity, Sarawak's uniqueness and goes by the Sarawak style! If this movie is successful, surely we will see more of Sarawak's made movie on the screen in the future. So SUPPORT OUR LOCALS people :p

As we go on and getting older...

Today I was saying to myself "what a hectic life and this year I'm another year older". Then I realized next week is May and we're almost in the middle of 2010. Time goes by so fast and seems like so much to do but time is never enough for everything. Although I feel like my life is busy (especially with work) but achievements is very little. I didn't know what I've gain in life. All I know everyday I've tried so hard to live my life working while at the same not neglecting my needs. But most of the time works win and my life is full of unfinished businesses. Sometimes I feel like everything is far ahead of me and I will have to run faster to catch up but even I've run the fastest I can, they still can't be reached on time. Life is never an ease nowadays, more worries than the unwinding thoughts. Even sometimes I find myself pampered by good things to ease my life but I has never be long, the longest like for a day or two. It is so tiring which sometimes I feel like giving up but which one should I gave up to, give up to this one, that one still there and for sure I will not give up whole life (that's a suicide).

At the time of typing this specific paragraph, I saw my staff's children playing happily. How I wish my life is like that. Damn, now I'm wishing I was young again. So contrary to my wish when I was 15 or 17 last time in which I always wish that I'm older and reach 21 faster :) and I thought that life will be more fun if I'm one of the grown ups. I will have work and earn my own money and I can do so much more things without so much constrains and rules (without so much people shouting saying DON'T! hehehe) or in those-time-mind would say FREEDOM :p

But now I'm one of the grown ups and my wish have came true but then I asked myself have I ever really enjoyed my grown up life to the very fullest? I did, that's when I'm 21 until 23 only and after that in 24 excited about working and earning money, then works have taken over more than 50% portion of my life and it is not fun anymore because everyday have to struggle with works, needs and trying to find something to be enjoyed. Until now, life have been quiet statics for me, not much thing going on and almost the same thing everyday.

Now, I'm wishing that I'm young again just because those are the times when I don't have much worries (the biggest worries is just not doing well in study hehehe) and not much responsible to carry (again the responsibility is doing well in study and have a good behavior though I'm not a good person that time hehehe). Even those are the times that we feel like this world is so small, we don't have to care much about others, we don't have to worry about money (just worry that parents doesn't give a lot la ;p ), we don't have much things that we want (a lot but the fact that money is limited make us not wanting too much hehehe), we have very little things to fear and I don't have much worries when I want to commit something wrong hehehe. But anyway, that's all have been long gone (and now I'm wishing like most human did, How I wish I could turn back time hahaha).

Like it or not now I have to swallow everything in this current life, bitter, sweet and sour all have to be accept. Life goes on and those wishes up there will never be possible hehehe, it will always become wishes forever. Whatever this life give, have to live with it and PERSEVERE no matter how difficult it will be (sometimes we doesn't given so much choice). So now have to go back to the real life hehehe, actually this post could be longer but got works to do (see, works really wins :p ) so rock on and keep on living folks, keep on living....

Scarry or not? For all Facebook-ers

1.5 millions facebook accounts on sale! If I'm a facebook user this is a scary fact! He makes money and bring danger to other people without they realized. Next thing they know their account was compromised and who knows it might bring to something they didn't want for example, their account are purchased and use by con men for scam or to spread sensitive things or to offend something or someone. In the end the actual owner of the account will become "a suspect of a criminal that they didn't do" which is the scariest thing adding the fact that they didn't know who using their account for those crime.

With the rapid development of virtual world nowadays, it doesn't stop Hackers to do more of their "jobs", they even might getting better in lined with the growth of the technologies. Like other things in life, the solution for problems like this will always come after the problems have become worst and it might take the virtual security developers some times to curb it up. Seems like in this case, Hackers always up further ahead of the security developers.One big example of technology crime is the "pirating business" which until now no fully effective security have been developed though this have been happening for so many years. Even though there some companies like Sony, Apple and Microsoft are using the things called DRM or Digital Rights Management to protect their content from being pirated but still it is not enough. As can see we can still find pirated Microsoft Windows cd in the market. So back to the virtual hacking, while we wait for the better security protection for the virtual world, the least we could do are as stated in that article. Take precaution people.

Photo Blog no2

Earlier this month I've posted something about my photo blog. Eventually a disastrous things happen to that blog and I have to "remove" it and reinstalled. It have been few weeks I try to re-established that blog but it goes on and off as I was busy with my works. Until early last week I found a suitable theme for that blog (although the colour might seems like a bit odd but I like the layout). Luckily I have not posted many things yet in the previous blog. Now my photo blog is up and running again, though not so much things yet there but more to come. So here a snippet of what's there:

This is something I've wanted to do couple of years back but only now it is done. My intention is not to show off anything (I don't have anything to show off by the way). I just wanted to get others' opinion on my photos so I could improved as I consider myself a "young" photographer, a casual one and still a beginner. The closest to the dam... but no electricity? Huh..

I still remember the very first day I went to work in Batang Ai area I was thinking that this place doesn't have problem with electricity because it's the nearest to the hydro dam and with no worry I went there to report duty. Along the way after the junction at the main road, I can see that area mostly covered with oil palms and I didn't surprise by that because there's a palm oil factory on one side of the road and this area have been "silently" famous for that (even ever since I was a kid). The first problem I encounter was "what no cell phone coverage?" after I passed by the oil palm's regional office. Why in so many places, this place was out of cell phone's operators coverage? Isn't there any of them want to claim this as their "wilayah"? So I put my handphone away. Then I saw the oil palm factory on my right side of the road and the smell came from that factory was terrible (but they make food smell good when they become cooking oil :p ). I slow down my car a bit to observe that area, well of course no biodiesel factory yet hehehe (who knows ada kan?). Then I continued my journey, there's a lot of longhouses along the road and all were supplied with electricity (I can see the cable to their longhouse). So I said to myself (indeed I'm right, this place got electric). Lets go straight to the real story.

Then I went to the up river area of Batang Ai river. We have to use wooden boat and I can see the Hilton longhouse resort not far away from the dam site. So we leave the dam site and proceed on. The dam lake was huge (and I was wondering, how deep is it and what's the bottom look like hehehe). But I don't think there's any crazy divers want to dive in that lake, the water was bluish and bright in colour . But upriver the water is green (quiet different from other side of the lake). Well maybe because it was a man made flood or maybe there's a lot of algae in the water, I'm not so sure about that hehehe and I can't imagine how big is the area that will be flooded by the bakun dam soon seeing this one is already enormous.

We arrive at one of the longhouse after about an hour boat ride from the dam site (still this area is the stagnant river flooded because of the hydro dam. There are a school, a clinic and Batang Ai National Park HQ around that area. Talking to the tuai rumah of that longhouse, I can't help myself of asking "Bisi karan kita ditu apai?" or do you have electricity supplied here? He said "we here never taste what's it like to have electricity like town area. All we have is the generator which used by all "bilek" here called "generator gerempong" or shared generator and this only used a few times a week or only one time a week but not even 24 hours because it depends on how much petrol we have (and they bought that petrol with their longhouse fund). I also ask "How about other longhouse also like that school and clinic?". He said, they're also using generator but their petrol of course supplied by government. The I ask one more question, "Did you people request this to your YB?", before he could answer me, a guy came between our conversation offering a glass of "tuak" and eventually he forgot I asked that question as that guy start to telling some jokes. Then I asked one of the guy why electricity is not supplied here? he said "they say the cost is very high". Wtf, that's a pure b#*@s*^ts, that's should not be the excused. How much is it actually? We managed to built bakun with billions and how about the new DUN building, more than 30millions. Does money really an obstacle for this to happen and if does, man, how "poor" is our state. It was sad that this people who live only an hour ride from the dam didn't even have the chance to taste the electricity as the additional compensation for losing their land flooded because of that dam. They're also human, they have their needs. I don't know why this is happen (maybe that's why the previous YB before the late Dublin Unting losses in the election, this is pure assumption actually).

Anyway, again I was thinking why on earth is this place doesn't supplied with electricity? Our people at our hometown, hundreds and hundreds kilometers far away from this hydro dam enjoying the airconds, watching astro and doing their daily chores with ease. How about this people? They live on the hill top now because of the flood with no access to make their life easier and to have the taste of the current stream of technologies. For whatever monetary cost there are, they should be first to enjoy this electricity. Now they maybe become the last of not at all. I don't think a lot of people know this, one of my friend were surprise to hear about this when I told him.

What I'm not sure is that, whether this people offered to move to the town area (like other longhouses flooded by the dam water) when this dam was started. Even if they did, they've done the right thing to stay and continue to live their land which they inherited from their ancestor. For some people this is disobedient and some might say "sapa suruh" but what would you feel when people asked you to get out of your own house or village and burnt your house down just because they've have acquire the land for "development" and in the end your life will not turn to be better.

Anyway, there's a lot of question to all this and only God knows who can answer them. After so many years we enjoyed our lives with electricity and living our lives with all latest technologies we can get, who would've thought those who are closer to the source than us were left behind. My only hope is that those "who" should've listen to this problem will make it better for these people and I can bet you, if you did that, it will be your biggest deeds. Well for me, all I can do is to continue praying for a better world, and a better life. Give this a thought people....

I came across and watch this song in Hallmark channel and I was stunned by the way this girl sing it. (I think for Hallmark channel lover, they probably have watched it so many times). This version was sung by Charice in Oprah show. She's a 17 year old from Philipines. I like the fact that she pour her emotion to this song and the same time controlling it and still sing it with her powerful voice (I think I saw her tears :p ). She really gave a touching touch to this song. Although I still also like the Jojo's original version but this one really bring this song further up. The massage was really direct to its point and it might be the wishes of many humans in this world seeing what happened nowadays (it's my wishes too). Few minutes ago, a good friend send a video link to me, I thought it was just another fun-to-watch video but it's something different. Some familiar faces or a familiar face was in that video and just after I watched it I feel really "disturbed" or shall I say damn $%@&ing MAD! It's not because somebody defaming me in that video but what inside picturing a "dooms day" for people like me in my beloved state (I know it will not effects me directly but a lot of "friends" will). As my beloved state's native, I feel so sad and mad at the same time, I always @#$%ing hate "those" who "selling out" our state's land and resources and people like me can't do anything (forced not to speak up about that "things" automatically). What more to say given "a place to ask and giving opinion" and "a freedom to comment" the non-logic actions by the "poleeticuoses moronesses" and their "a*# licker dogs".

I just don't understand why "they" are willing to do that, taking what belongs to other and bulldozed their "home" then simply landed them in a newly created "hell" which they doesn't even want to live in but again automatically forced to live it without even given the chance to speaks out their thoughts. Then the "poleeticuoses moronesses" and their "a*# licker dogs" will live their life squeezing as much juice as they could from the "orange" that they have "peeled". When the "those people" living in unwanted "hell", "these people" living in castles at the far far away lands (but only one that have each castle in 5 countries!). Some doesn't event try to learned from past mishap and still want to join in "the fun squeezing". Now it's only a matter of time for them to launch their "weapons" to do the balding (better they shaved their heads bald for the Go Bald campaign) and clearing errands.

We have seen many things that doesn't really benefit you and me built here and taken from us here (more benefits to the "inland's people). And what have we done and what can we do? Nothing! because we have been "cursed" by the "walking zombie and the living deads" not to do anything when they do wrong, only do something good and sweet when they do right (did they ever do right?). And we have also been "cursed" not to do anything "stupid" to them, like commenting their actions and saying we dislikes what they do (damn, what happen to democracy and the freedom to speak). They always say "beri cadangan yang bernas untuk kemajuan, jangan mengata buruk" (damn I don't get what they mean, they used words that I have never learned, can somebody tell me what they means?). If I did understand, How to do that? Can I say "hey, that's not right" or "you do it the wrong way"? Then they will asked "how to do it right?" (In their heads they might say "engkau ingat kau siapa nak ajar aku, budak mentah, kau tak layak"). I will end up wasting-my-saliva-only and talk-also-no-use.

I think I'm started to mumbling things (betul ndak ka perkataan ya) or "merapu" as my eyes' "windows" are getting heavy and shutting down which makes my heads not centered (I told ya I'm merapu already). Anyway, I think a lot of people have watched this video already (malar jak aku tinggal bas, pegi cne ndak aku ka) or maybe not many knows about it but it's ok. If any of you while reading this post and picture some most hated faces who make our people's life miserable, you will understand what I'm talking about. Got to go zzzzzzzz...

Go BALD? Why not....

Hello people, want to go BALD for a good reason? This is the chance, I know many people pictured bald heads is not something good. But it's never a bad thing, trust me it makes you feel like something different (and can save you some bucks on hair cream too hehehe). Last time, ever since after I've finished my high school, bald become my fashion up until I'm in the university, most of the time I shave my heads and I can prove that when I show you guys my I.C. hehehe.

Enough for my bald story, well here's the things, this year Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) organized The Go Bald campaign and it's aim is not only to collect funds, but also help raise awareness for childhood cancer. They aim to target RM1 million to help them run the center, as well as use the money to fund their new halfway home which is estimated to cost RM2.5mil. Currently, SCCS is using a century old semi-D house as their halfway home, and they are currently maxed out in terms of space, and hence the need for a new place with more space, and better facilities.

This campaign is one of many things that we can do to help those children and to contribute to a better facilities for them. It might seems to be a small things but the effects it'll bring will be enormous. Who else can help them if not us, who else can support this if not us and who else can give them a little something to make them smile if not us. For bolder steps, interested individuals can sign up with the Go Bald organizers to get their head bald in front of the public on 16 May 2010 at the Spring, Kuching. You are also very much welcomed to get a pledge card and collect donations for SCCS. So this is one thing that we can do. 1 Million? What would I do?

Last night I had a dream of driving a Nissan GTR (R35) (maybe because that evening I saw this car on the road and terbawa-bawa in my sleep hehehe). Then this morning when I woke up and recalled that dream makes me think to myself, what would I do if I had RM 1 millions, would I buy that car (that's my favorite car actually :p). This is the list of what I will do:

1. RM200k will be allocated for donation and charity (I always want to do this)

2. RM100k will be used to pay for house down payment (the bank will not be happy with this hehehe)

3. RM100k will be used to pay for house down payment (house for my family)

4. RM100k will be given to my family members (especially my mum)

5. RM50k will be used for my medical purpose

6. RM80k will be used to open up any business

7. RM100k will be used for any investment (rolling up strategy hehehe)

8. RM50k will be used for my "future plans" (*wink* *wink* hehehe)

9. RM50k will be used to buy advance DSLR and photography accesorries, Other camera, gadgets, laptop (I'm a "boros" guy when it comes to things like this hehehe)

10.RM50k will be used for miscellaneous things (like sponsoring Sarawak Bloggers gathering maybe hehe)

11.RM20k will be used for life's "improvement"

12.RM100k for saving (finally I can save :p )

But that's just my imagination anyway hehehe. Dunno how to get RM1 million in a easy-peasy way. Moral of the story buy 4D number hahahaha, no, just work hard and might not get a million but it'll worth something. It's true when people said "money is not everything" and of course it's not everything, it's just being money if not used but I believe a lot of people will agree when I say "EVERYTHING NEED MONEY", if there is anything that not, tell me ok :p I will be happy to know and I will add to my life's "vault" hehehe. How bout you guys, what would you do?

I am a Sarawak Blogger

I was just started blogging last month and I found out blogging is therapeutic ( I hope I used that word correctly). Last time I didn't really like blog because I thought it is "difficult". But last month I was googling for something and I came across one link, the first ever blog I read cyrildason.com. Then, there's another link which caught my attention and I open it and read its interesting content and it's bongkersz.com, the second blog I read (until I forgot what actually I'm googling for at the first place hehehe). Then I think to myself, why don't I use blog as a place to dump my thoughts and write about anything I like.... and so I was inspired.

Then I create my first ever blog site under blogspot.com. I started to write about what happen around me and I found it's fun :p . The one thing that I start to like is the fact that I can post anything I like regardless people read it or not and it's my own "space" and I can control some major part of it. It's like creating a website but it's personal. Then I was thinking, this is cool and I started to read other people's blog and found out everybody have their own way of expressing their thoughts, man I like this things. I dunno if it's late for me to start but who cares, it's not like blogging bound to any expiry date or something.

Well after that I saw a very nice looking logo at bongkersz.com, I clicked it and it bring me to a community kind of page, it's called Sarawak Bloggers managed by a group of experience bloggers. But that time the application rules are quiet tight and the criteria saying that "you must have been actively blogging for at least one year" make me say, I'm not there yet and I'm still "young". Few weeks after that I accidentally click the logo while I was reading something on awomandiary.com and the site of Sarawak Bloggers have changed, I saw a tab called casual bloggers and I clicked it, thank God they have open their membership to a "young" blogger like me.

So yesterday, I email them my details and about half an hour after that, they replied saying that I'm accepted, so I said cool, now I'm part of something, I'm a casual blogger of Sarawak Bloggers. This might be a platform for me to expand my blogging world and life and learned from the professional bloggers inside this community. On top of everything, I'm proud I am a Sarawak Bloggers and this blogging things might change a thing or two in my life.

So anybody out there who wants to do something different in their life, try blogging, believe me it will take you to something interesting and unique. What a touching story. I know how hard it is for teachers who sent to the deep rural area in Sarawak like Ulu Baram. With no paved road access and only the timber road access, the time of reaching the place can take up to few hours riding on a wavy and slippery road with only 4 wheel drive can be used, it is never be a comfortable experience. The last time I went to Ulu Baram couple of year back, we had to travel for 10 hours from Miri. Imagine when they reach the place, the facilities (school) is not even conveniently provided but still they try their best to give the best education to the students there, that's the true spirit of an educator. Sometimes I feel sad when some teachers from Peninsular sent to rural area particularly in Sarawak and they can't even stand a month there. One teacher who suppose to teach in the school near my working place didn't even turn up to report for duty whereas that place is only about 4 or 5 hours from Kuching by CAR on paved road and 45 minutes by BOAT.

I didn't blame anybody but whether it is 200km into the rural or 10km from shopping complex, life as a teacher (I sincerely admit) is never an easy things, especially when they have to struggle to give their best with limited facilities and resources (like in rural area) while at the same time they have also try to adapt to the situation to live their life. Some people said as a teacher is the most relax work, with only half day working and a lot of school holiday in a year. For me, they deserve it, even we all deserve what offered in our job although most of the time we always seek for the better.

Government has to give more attention to the problems that those teachers in rural area faced. They should be provided with better facilities as they came all they way from far to provide their services to the rural students. Maybe not the best that can be provided but at least things were improved and those rural school is not left out. Why built a school in rural area and didn't improve them? It's just like planting a flower and leave it like that without giving water and fertilizer.

Anyway, I hope from this article, it will give higher motivational boast to all teachers and for those teachers who persevere in their difficult teaching life, I give salute to you all, enormous respects. And to all teacher, thanks for being the educator of our generations, teach the best you all can, don't be like some of those mosquitoes-catching teachers who thinks they had done what they should but in the end of the day their student is not well equip to live their life. Keep up the good works teachers and share this article with other teachers for motivational boast. Salute.....

Can't wait to be CHUCKed for the 3rd time....

Mannn I was very excited when I was informed that popular tv series and is my favourite; Chuck had returned to the scene. In US it had been premiered and I wonder when will it be in Malaysia. The last two season was a great experience for all Chuck viewers, starting from funny, adorable and a-lot-of-geek-comedy in the 1st season to the more-action, bitter, sweet and touching season 2. The last episode in season 2 makes me impatiently-anticipate the continuation of this series in season 3 as we know after season 2 chuck himself has been "packed" by the Intersect 2.0 with more new extreme things and the best is, he have been "pre-trained" by the Intersect to be a real spy (this had made me more excited to watch the season 3) . I expected more actions and more sweet moments or even more funny things in the season 3.

In season 3, Chuck will be more serious in his spy life. He have been "changed" by the Intersect to be equipped with the real spy kind of things and chuck will become the new chuck, even better than Bryce :p . He will be "blessed" with a lot of new talents. And from what I know the title of the every episode is kind of weird but catchy, it sounds like Chuck versus.....

Well that's some of the best things about the next season and that's not all. Another hyper-exciting things about season 3 is that, there will be some familiar celebrities faces featured. Who are they? Stars like Stone Cold Steve Austin ( I hope there will be a "stunner" kind of things) and the adorably gorgeous, cute, sexy and the ever lovely-lovable-lady Kristin Kreuk. What a thing worth the waiting isn't it? I hope it will be in AXN soon and it's best if they had the box set in the market sooner ( as I don't have the chance to watch tv every week, every day and buying box set will saved me the episodes I missed and can watch it non-stop too :p ).

Anyway, I hope it will not be long to wait for it to be premiered in our local tv. Can't wait to be Chucked once again :p . To give you guys the sneak peak of what will happen in the season 3 and to add to your impatient anticipations, watch this snippets....

TUNE your HOTEL stay....

Last February, I want to go down to Kuching and wonder which hotel I want to stay in. There are few new hotels opened in this city last years (and some more might be open this year or next year). I thought I wanted to try those new hotel so I browse in the net for the info. While I was gazing through the information on one of the 5 stars hotel, I wonder is there any Tune Hotel opened in Kuching?. So I Googled that hotel and found the official site. Walla, they have their hotel in Kuching (what an ancient me, people might already know about this hotel exist in Kuching since the day it's opened :p ). Before this I never had any interest in Tune Hotel because I thought it's just like Air Asia, when you book last minute, you get higher price. I read more about that hotel and found out that it is kind of interesting. Plus the tag line "5-star sleeping experience at a 1-star price" adding more curiosity into myself to try this hotel. We all know that if a hotel is rated 5 stars we will get 5 stars services all the way but how is this Tune Hotel actually worth my stay.

So I make the online booking of a single room (as I'm travelling alone) for two night stay and to my surprise the price per night is just RM45.50! But like Air Asia's ticket price, that's not the final price. In the third step, I was brought to a page where I can choose what I need something they called Addon Purchases, things like air conditioning, towels+essential toiletries kit and wireless internet access and of course I need the aircond, so I add on another RM42 (RM21 for each 24 hours), that's RM91 + 42= RM 133.

Then they show me how much I have to pay for the stay which includes service charge, service tax and admin fee. For that booking, my total price is RM167.91. I guess it's not bad if the sleeping experience will be like 5 stars

So the next day, I arrived in Kuching and I went straight to the hotel (because my bladder is full hehehe). That hotel is opposite the Kuching Hilton Hotel, just across the road (I was surprise by the way this block has transformed). Then I asked the security guard at the hotel's entrance do they have their own car park (because I drive). He said no they didn't have, but in the internet say got parking? I asked back, he still say, no there's no car park, not even in front here (along the road). I know that's the paid public car park because they're numbered. So I just park my car at one of the empty lot in front of the hotel and went in for check in. The lobby? not bad at all for a budget hotel, they even have their own mini convenience store there. My room is in the 1st floor and number 102, the view? the Hilton :p

When I enter the room, I said, this is not bad for this kind of price, the bed look comfy and the toilet, the same of that you can get in the 3 star or even 4 or 5 stars hotel (in their lowest rate kind of room la :p ) Just one thing about the room, its quiet small but it's worth the price. During my 2 night stay, I found out that this hotel is worth my money as like most of my time traveling I only need hotel's room to sleep, bath and put my things, during the day I will not be in my room.

So today is the third time I stay here at Tune Hotel Kuching and I choose to stay in the double room with one queen size bed (the second time I stayed for 4 nights at less than RM400!). Apart from no car park available, it's not a problem for me as I can park in front of the hotel or inside the Hilton's car park (have to pay la of course). I like the room, especially the double room and the essential necessities they provide. For a person like me, I don't really need a sofa, bath tub and etc.. when I went on a trip like this, (as for the toiletries and towel I brought mine myself) unless I go for vacation that's a different story. All that I have in Tune hotel's room for the price I've paid is worth every penny for a casual trip like this. Sometimes all we need is just a comfy bed and a hot shower (plus the air conditioning for me :p ). Even for backpackers this hotel can provide better comfort plus the convenient of it's surrounding.

Adding to the Tune hotel's comfortableness is the strategic location where it's placed, the Kuching city center. Some major shopping centers are just few minutes walk from this hotel, the Kuching's waterfront is just a 5 minutes walk and many other tourist attractions and craft shops around the area are just within a distance. The night life? Some bars and lounges just along the strip from the Tune hotel, Bistros and eating spots can also be found easily. All can be reached on foot and to go further than that spot is not big deal, go to the front desk, they will be able to help. Airport transfer also provided and tourist agents are contactable too.

So Tune Hotel is not bad at all, what more could be asked for with that kind of price. It is just another place for a low budget traveler like me who seek the best comforts and conveniences with the most affordable price (book online earlier to get better deals on the price, just like when you book Air Asia's tickets :p ). I'm hoping that this hotel will be enhance in the near future and I think I would like my Tune Hotel's room to have tv with Astro channels, I don't mind paying extra RM10 or 20 per night though :p . Confidence = Winning..... It's a hope.....

It's 3.35 in the morning says the clock. I was awake by the feel of dry throat and went downstairs to get something to wet it. Then I turn on the tv and came pop up one of the news channel. The man said "BN yakin rampas kembali kerusi Parlimen Hulu Selangor". I'm not so much into politic kind of things (because nobody have convinced me yet that it's wrong politician=dirty). But hearing that headlines quiet an interesting things to know more. But when I came back to the living room after taking my drink the topic have change. But I still want to know more about that headlines so I turn on my laptop and open one of the online news portal. Luckily there's a news related to that headlines.

But the headlines is quiet different there but still related. There they say "got chance or ada peluang". I don't have to explain why this small election will be held as it was out all over the news. And the ruling government feeling confident of winning that seat which have been won by the oppositions in the last general election (which almost pour a flash flood to the ruling party and Sarawak & Sabah saved them).

In my opinion they feel confident because in the last general elections they've lost with a small defeat (198 majority) and they even might place the same candidate for that small election (although that area only have 19% Indians). But they said he have more experience in that area.

For the records, last year there are few small elections held but BN only won at Batang Ai (correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not so into politics), again Sarawak save them. The history from when our country was established have shown that Sabah & Sarawak were the two states which makes Malaya possible at that time, meaning that those state's peoples who help to make our country a reality (but still they're labeled "lain-lain or other"). And the history show it once again in the last general elections ( I think most people know what I mean). And when BN won in Batang Ai, again Sarawak's native was defamed & disgraced by peninsular opposition leader with a phrase said "Penduduk di Batang Ai masih pakai CAWAT", though educated people know the phrase was just a metaphor but still it is not appropriate to reflect other people's mind. If they're said to have wear ***** on ***** ***ds, what would they feel?. Of course they will retaliate back.

Enough for the past stories, back to the headlines, well I hope that this time BN will have their confidence transform into winning and if they did they will have to keep all their promises. Adding to their confidence, DPM said they have a lot of "materials" to be used to face the oppositions and in the current situations a lot of people didn't satisfied with the Selangor state government. Well, I really wonder what these "materials" are but I don't thinks it will be revealed or maybe not until the election. And I think a lot of people hoping that this time the "materials" are for real and working.

I guess the result of this election might be giving some big impacts to the General Election (which is next year I think, again correct me if I'm wrong). It will be giving the view of what people really wants and how they want it, regardless BN win or not, people will shows their "opinions". Nowadays, personally I think it is not a contest between who's good, who's not anymore, it is more than that, it might even bigger than that. Like anything else people's mind evolved and towards something that they learned throughout every experiences that they've gone through. Also, now many of the mind of our people like "upgraded hardisk" where they might have "drag & drop" away old data to the "recycle bin" and ready or have been wrote with new data and plus the new type of "scripting & formatting" which all will determined their output on the "screen". If any of the "programmers" have the most latest, innovative and creative "scripting & formatting" skills plus the ability for them to meet all the "requirements" to run that "hardisks" on their PCs, will win.

Anyway, I just hope that there will be something different from that election. So a very best of lucks.... Hope that 1 Malaysia ideology will play it's biggest roles in that test. After the election then we do the talking and writing again.

UNICEF Direct Debit Donor Programme

Last Sunday ( 21 March ) I went out to tHe spring and I came across a group of people from UNICEF doing their roadshow of their donor programme. I was attracted as it is not cash type of donation. All this while I always think of how can I contribute to something or doing donation in long term without giving big cash one time (because I didn't have a lot of money at one time). So I approached them and they explained every detail of that donation programme. I was attracted because it is mainly to help children all over the world and I said sign me up. So I did.

This donation pledge is not an one-off donation like the usual because UNICEF didn't take any cash for this. It was an easy thing to do, their people will ask for you ID card and help you filled the form and then they have two option of donating, 1. using credit cards and 2. using bank account. And there're two type of contribution 1. every month RM38 or RM58 and 2. Every 6 month RM228 or RM348. Note that this contribution will be charged to your credit card or autodebit from your bank account and you will be contributing for as long as you're signed up with this programme. UNICEF will give you a car sticker and stick it on your car to show your support. They will also send you a tax-exempt receipt every year.

This is a very very good things to contribute for something meaningful and helping the childrens around the world. We all know there are so many children suffers from poverty, wars, HIV and so on, even in our country there are so many children need help and through UNICEF, we might be able to give hopes to these children. For that small amount, we have surely giving some help to these children such as in medical and education. It not a big amount but the contribution it provides is enormous. Personally, I felt many people should sign up to something like this. It's might not our children who benefited from this contribution but it gave them a very big, excellent example of what we should do to help other. All those children are the future generation of our world anyway.

My sisters was watching this video when I came back from work one day and at first it was funny but then it gets me thinking when I saw the original video of that original song that my sister watched. Man, this kids dance the whole routine as the original one and not to mention in sync with the songs and perfectly.
